A removal across London with GT Removals costs from £50 an hour for a driver and Transit van, up to £120 an hour for a Luton van with three movers. Many London firms set a two or three hour minimum. Ours is one hour, then 30-minute steps, so a small move is priced as a small move.
Two extras can apply, plus an out-of-hours rate. All three are agreed before you book.

Trips over five miles from Wimbledon carry a distance fee we quote up front. A move from Tooting to Tottenham has one clear price before the van leaves.

When the route enters the Congestion Charge zone in charging hours, the charge is added once at the rate Transport for London sets on the day.
Charging runs 7am to 6pm on weekdays and from noon at weekends and bank holidays, so an early Saturday start clears the zone before it costs you anything.
£10 an hour more, 7pm to 8am
Work between 7pm and 8am is £10 an hour more with a 1.5-hour minimum, and weekend bookings carry the same 1.5-hour minimum at the standard rate.

Parking is the first thing we sort on any London move. A van with nowhere to stop costs you time by the hour. Most residential streets need a bay suspension from the borough. Notice periods range from 3 working days in the outer boroughs to 17 in Camden. Red routes are run by Transport for London and not the council, so a move on a red route needs its own application.
